Softball Falls in Doubleheader Rematch Against Wilmington
WILMINGTON, DE. – Thomas Jefferson University softball (13-17) faced a familiar opponent as they took on Wilmington University (14-22) in a non-conference doubleheader on Tuesday. The Rams fell in both contests.
WHAT HAPPENED
GAME ONE: L, 8-0 (6 INNINGS)
- The Wildcats scored a run in the first inning while tacking on five more in the second to go up 7-0
- Jefferson made it to second base multiple times but were unable to get a runner to homeplate
- Wilmington eventually had a run in the sixth inning that forced the contest to end after the score
- MaryKate Armstrong stared for the Rams while Delaney Alix and Devin Brandley came in relief on the mound

- Jefferson fell early in the second game as Wilmington had two runs in the second inning. The Rams put a score in the third with a fielding error
- The Wildcats would add four runs in the fifth and another in the sixth as Jefferson dropped the second game to Wilmington
- Alix started the game on the mount for Jefferson with Bailey Maloney and Lauren Bernaiche making appearances for the Rams
