Grahn and Boyle take Yearly Track & Field Awards
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Thomas Jefferson University track & field had two of their runners secure yearly awards this season.
Olivia Grahn was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Track Athlete and Track Rookie of the Year for the women while
Dylan Boyle earned Track Rookie of the Year honors on the men's side.
OLIVIA GRAHN – CACC TRACK ATHLETE & TRACK ROOKIE OF THE YEAR
Grahn put her mark on the track as she broke multiple school records and earned national qualifying marks along the way. She competed in the CACC Championships in the 5000-meter race and 3000-meter steeplechase, with Grahn taking first place in both events to earn First Team All-Conference honors. The freshman placed in the top-5 in those two events plus the 10000-meter event in the region, earning U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region recognition.
DYLAN BOYLE – TRACK ROOKIE OF THE YEAR
Boyle gets his first yearly track & field honors after helping the men's team take fourth place in the CACC Championships. He has placed in the top-6 in multiple events this year, including two first-place finishes in the CACC Championships to garner him All-Conference First Team honors. On the year, Boyle was named CACC Rookie of the Week once as well as making the Honor Roll one time.
