Jarad Carney

Carney was named the baseball head coach in June 2026.

Carney becomes the 10th head coach in program history, bringing a proven record of success, player development, and leadership. He joins Jefferson after serving as associate head coach at fellow Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference member Wilmington University for the past eight years.
 
During his tenure with the Wildcats, Carney played a key role in four CACC Championship titles and four NCAA East Regional appearances, including this past season. He helped develop 44 All CACC honorees, including three Pitchers of the Year, two Players of the Year, and a Rookie of the Year, along with 22 All East Region selections. Most recently, three Wilmington student athletes earned All America recognition during the 2026 season.
 
In addition to his coaching responsibilities at Wilmington, Carney served for seven years as a University Relations Student Recruiter and spent one season as an Assistant Athletic Facilities Coordinator. His coaching career also includes stops at Widener University and Neumann University.
 
A former student athlete at Neumann, Carney was a team captain, a recipient of the St. Francis St. Claire Award, and a two-time NCAA Regional participant.
 
Carney holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport and Entertainment Management with a minor in Business Administration from Neumann University, earned in 2015.
