Jimmy joined Jefferson Athletics as the Athletics Communications Director in September of 2023.

Morta comes to the Rams after being a Sports Information Assistant at Wilkes University. He helped the department with their press releases, vidoe editing, graphics, upkeep on the website, and statistics on NCAA LIvestats and Statcrew for the 23 sports that Wilkes University oversees.

Before joining Wilkes, Morta was helping with gameday statistics and events as a Sports Information Assistant at the University of Dubuque in Dubuque, Iowa. He also helped with the livestreaming and using NCAA Livestats for soccer and basketball while using Statcrew for lacrosse. 

In August of 2016, Morta began his role as a Sports Information Assistant at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania in Kutztown, Pa. He helped with the programs for gameday, wrote press releases, caputre video for social media, and archived articles. 

Morta earned his Bachelor's Degree in Leisure and Sports Studies at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania in May of 2018. He went on to receive his Master's in Management - Sports Management degree at the University of Dubuque in August of 2022.

He currently resides in Birdsboro, Pa.
