NEWARK, Del. – Midfielder Melissa Copeland recorded two goals and one assist to lead the Philadelphia University women's soccer team to a 3-0 victory over Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) foe Wilmington (Del.) Wednesday afternoon at the WU Athletics Complex.

Copeland opened the scoring in the 17th minute with her fourth goal of 2012. Forward Michaela Van Antwerp played a cross into the far right wing and was one-timed into the right side of the net by Copeland.

The score didn't stay at 1-0 for long as forward Kristen Ferguson extended her goal-scoring streak to four matches in a row with a 20th-minute strike. Copeland sprung Ferguson for a breakaway with a through ball up-the-middle and Ferguson did the rest by beating the keeper to the low right side.

In the 59th minute Copeland completed her five-point day with her second goal of the contest, and fifth on the season. Midfielder Trisha Sileo played a high cross into the penalty area, which was settled by Copeland and deposited into the back of the net.
