Seven Basketball Players Named to CSC Academic All-District Team
GREENWOOD, IN – Thomas Jefferson University placed seven basketball players on the College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team announced on March 24.
Emily Spratt, Tori Nigro, Jordyn Thomas, and Gabby Recinto represent Jefferson women's basketball on the academic list while Shane Cercone, Alex Bates IV, and Matt McCool were honored on the men's side. This is the second time on the All-Academic Team for Spratt and Nigro.
To be eligible for Academic All-District accolades, student-athletes must have appeared in 90 percent of their team's contests or started 66% of the teams total games and have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or better. Each institution is capped at four honorees per sport.
Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 16, 2025.
