On Thursday, October 18th, head coach Mark
Magarity's women's volleyball team moved into double
digits in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) win
column with a 3-0
win at Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington, Del. The victory
pushes the Lady Rams to 16-11 overall and they stand at 10-2 in the
conference, tied for second place in the South Division.
Scores from the match with the Lightning were 30-23, 30-18 and
30-19. Senior outside hitter Emily
Krauss led a balanced Philadelphia University attack
with 12 kills and 12 digs; while junior middle hitter Lindsey
Butler tallied 10 kills and three solo
blocks. In addition, sophomores Cindy
Adams and Nicole
Berkstreser each notched nine kills; with Adams
contributing eight digs in the three-game, 1:20 match.
Freshman setter Lauren
Hoover added 38 set assists for the Lady Rams, who now
aim their sights on the Golden Falcons of Felician College.
This next conference matchup gets underway at the Gallagher Center
on Saturday, October 20th at 2:00 p.m.
