Hall Named CACC 'Player of the Year', Dunbar 'Co-Coach of the Year'

Philadelphia, PA- Philadelphia University women's soccer senior goalie Sara Hall (Newark, DE/ Wilmington Charter) has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) 'Player of the Year' and All-CACC First Team, as voted on by the conference head coaches.  Hall earned the honor as her Lady Rams clinched the CACC regular-season championship and begin the postseason with a CACC #1 ranking.

Women's soccer Head Coach George Dunbar has been tabbed 'Co-Coach of the Year', after leading PhilaU to an undefeated record (8-0-3) in the CACC this season.  He shares the award with Caldwell's Nate Guagliardi.  Dunbar's Lady Rams won the CACC postseason title in 2006, and fell 1-0 in last year's championship game to Holy Family.

Earning All-CACC First Team was senior defender Rebecca Kennedy.  Kennedy has seven points this season while holding down a strong PhilaU defense that has allowed an average of 1.08 goals a game.

Also being recognized as CACC Honorable Mention are sophomore forward Sara Redka and sophomore midfielder Natalie Vespe.  Vespe leads the Lady Rams in points with 13 (six goals, one assist) while Redka had seven points this year- including two game-winning goals.

The Lady Rams host Dominican College today (11/3) at 2 p.m. for a CACC quarterfinal match-up at Ravenhill Field.
