Bloomfield, NJ- The Philadelphia University volleyball team (25-5, 13-2 CACC) split a tri-match on Saturday, getting a conference win over Bloomfield (6-16, 6-9 CACC) 3-2 and then dropping one to Southern Connecticut State University (20-6, 7-5 NE-10) 3-1 on the road.

Set scores vs. BC were: 22-25, 29-31, 25-20, 25-17 and 15-6. 

Set scores vs. SCSU were: 18-25, 16-25, 25-18 and 12-25. 

PhilaU senior outside hitter Celena Rendon (San Antonio, TX/ Tom C. Clark) led her squad with 25 kills and 32 digs on the day, while fellow senior right-side hitter Nicole Berkstresser (Bridgewater, NJ/ Raritan-Bridgewater) added 23 kills and six digs.

PhilaU junior setter Lauren Hoover (New Baltimore, MD/ Anchor Bay) had 39 set assists on the day.

The Lady Rams continue action at home on Thursday (10/29) vs. Holy Family at 7:00 p.m.
