Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University
women's soccer team (4-1-2, 2-0 CACC) won on the road in a
convincing 10-0 shutout of Lincoln University (2-5) on Tuesday
night. Sophomore forward Kristin McKale
(Huntingdon Valley, PA/ Lower Moreland) had the first hat trick of
her career in the victory.
PhilaU freshman midfielder/forward Trisha Sileo
(Islip, NY/ Islip) scored the game-winner just 3:49 into
regulation, on an assist from sophomore Gabrielle
Haden (Freehold, NJ/ Colts Neck). She would score
another just six minutes later.
PhilaU outshot LU 25-1.
Haden added a goal of her own at the 11 minute mark, and junior
midfielder/forward Sara Redka (Williamsport, PA/
Williamsport) made it 4-0 with a score. McKale would net
two and freshman midfielder Melissa Copeland
(Islip Terrace, NY/ East Islip) added a goal to give the Lady Rams
a 7-0 lead at the half.
Sophomore forward Dana Rokoszak (Hillsborough,
NJ/ Hillsborough) notched a goal just 50 seconds into the second
period, and McKale put in her final goal at 48:01. Freshman
forward Nicole Grimm (Stroudsburg, PA/
Stroudsburg) would end the scoring barrage at the 70th minute with
her first goal of the season to end it 10-0.
The Lady Rams will host Nyack College (9/19) in their next
contest at Ravenhill Field at 1:30 p.m.
