Philadelphia,
PA- The Philadelphia University women's volleyball
team (11-6, 9-2 CACC) won a 3-0 match over visiting University of
the Sciences (5-10, 3-8 CACC) on Thursday night.
Set scores were 25-22, 25-17 and
25-15.
PhilaU was led in kills by
sophomore middle-hitter Ellie Edgar, who tallied
12. Rookie outside-hitter Leanna Lillge led the
team in digs with 15 as well as four service aces.
USP was helped by a team-high
nine kills from Christine Puschak.
The Rams came out strong behind
senior setter Lauren Hoover who ended the night
with 18 sets.
The PhilaU team hits the road to
face Caldwell College on Saturday (10/16) at at 1
p.m.
