PA- The Philadelphia University women's volleyball team
(9-5, 7-1 CACC) found themselves in a tough match against
Millersville University (10-10, 1-6 PSAC). After being up by 2, the
Rams fell short in three close sets.
Set scores were 25-18, 25-20,
23-25, 21-25 and 15-13.
Rookie outside-hitter Leanna
Lillge helped lead the charge for the rams with a team
high 21 kills while picking up 14 digs and three service
aces.
Allison Huss added 15 kills, 14
digs and three service aces for Millersville.
Sophomore outside-hitter
Danielle
Carney, led the PhilaU squad in digs with 23 along 12
kills. Lauren
Hoover set the standard on the court with a total of
28 sets for the night.
PhilaU volleyball returns to
CACC action Saturday (10/9) as they hit the road to face Nyack
College at 1 p.m.
