NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Philadelphia University outside hitter Brittany Olson has been selected as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) women's volleyball player of the week Tuesday.

Olson averaged 2.25 kills and 4.2 digs in eight sets during a 2-0 week for the Lady Rams. In a four-set win at USciences on Nov. 1, Olson recorded a double-double consisting of 14 digs and 10 kills. Two days later, she had 19 digs and eight kills as Philadelphia defeated visiting Nyack, 3-1, and secured the second seed in the southern division for the CACC tournament.

This season Olson is leading the team with 269 kills. She is second in digs (303) and service aces (31).

The Lady Rams welcome Nyack, the third seed in the north, back to the Gallagher Athletic Center for the opening round of the CACC tournament Tuesday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m.
