Lady Rams Clinch CACC Tournament Spot with 100-51 Victory over Concordia (N.Y.)

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – All 10 Philadelphia University women's basketball players put their name in the scoring column as the Lady Rams defeated visiting Concordia (N.Y.), 100-51, in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game Saturday afternoon in the Gallagher Center.

Philadelphia (17-5, 11-2 CACC) secured a berth in the upcoming CACC Championship Tournament with the victory.

Saturday's 100-point performance is the first for the Lady Rams since earning a 114-104 triple-overtime victory over Dominican (N.Y.) on Feb. 14, 2009. The last time the team broke triple digits in regulation was on Jan. 26, 2002 when the Lady Rams defeated Bridgeport 105-81.

Philadelphia set a school-record and tied the CACC record for rebounds in a game by hauling down 70 boards.

Christine Wooding led the way for Philadelphia with 27 points and a career-high 19 rebounds. Wooding moved up to 19th on the all-time scoring list with 1,170 career points and 13th on the career rebounds list with 675.

Taylor Peltzer recorded 16 points and a career-best 10 rebounds. Kristen Blye was one rebound shy of a double-double, finishing with 19 points and nine rebounds. Najah Jacobs came off-the-bench and added 11 points and six rebounds.

Stephanie Agger had four steals and moved into a tie for fourth on the Philadelphia all-time steals list with Vincene Morris at 209.

The Clippers (6-15, 5-9 CACC) were led by Chanessa Blakemore who recorded a game-high 23 rebounds, 10 points and five blocks. Tara Ann Rock added 13 points.

The Lady Rams shot 45.6 percent (31-of-68) from the field, while holding the Clippers to just 19.6 percent (19-of-92)

Philadelphia welcomes Chestnut Hill to the Gallagher Center for a CACC showdown Tuesday, Feb. 7 at 6 p.m. The Lady Rams earned a 63-57 win over the Griffins on Jan. 16 at Chestnut Hill.
