Box Score WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Philadelphia University women's soccer team was knocked off by host West Chester, 4-0, in a non-conference contest Saturday afternoon.
The Golden Rams (2-0-0) led 1-0 at the half on a goal by Marie D'Angelo in the 32nd minute. Dana Hunt and Rachel Miller both assisted on the tally.
Melissa McKeary doubled the West Chester lead in the 50th minute with an assist from Ashley Saylor. Saylor put her name in the goal column with a 52nd-minute goal. Noelle Harner had scored West Chester's fourth goal in the 67th minute after receiving a McKeary pass.
Shannon Fedyk made five saves for West Chester.
Kelli Kowalewski recorded four saves on seven shots in the first 64:10 for Philadelphia (0-2-0). Courtney Shaw stopped three of the four shots she faced in the closing 25:50.
Philadelphia will look to pick up its first win of 2012 against Goldey-Beacom in its CACC opener on Thursday, Sept. 6 at 4 p.m.
