Lady Rams go 1-1 in non-conference tri-match at Molloy

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. – The Philadelphia University women's  volleyball team split a non-conference tri-match at Molloy College on Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Rams (3-1) started the day with a 3-0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-22) loss to Southern Connecticut. In the second match, Philadelphia rebounded to defeat Molloy, 3-1 (26-28, 25-23, 25-15, 25-21).

In the victory over the Lions (1-2), middle hitter Ellie Edgar recorded a match-high 14 kills. Outside hitter Brittany Olson had 12 kills and seven digs.

Setter Allyson Schillinger tallied 21 assists and 14 digs.

Libero Morgan McCarthy and Allison Manley led the defense with 19 digs each.

Against Southern Connecticut (7-1), Edgar led the offense with nine kills.

Olson added seven kills and seven digs.

Setter Nina Morvin and Schillinger had 10 assists each. Outside hitter Danielle Carney had a team-high 12 digs.

Philadelphia returns to the Gallagher Center to take on Holy Family in a CACC match Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 7 p.m.
