Box Score BLOOMFIELD, N.J. – The Philadelphia University women's volleyball team claimed a share of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference southern division title with a 3-2 (25-12, 25-13, 22-25, 19-25, 15-6) victory over Bloomfield in the regular season finale Saturday afternoon in the Deacons Den.
Philadelphia ends the regular season with an overall record of 18-8, 17-2 against the CACC. The Rams earned a share of the division crown—with Wilmington—for the first time since 2010 by winning 13 straight CACC matches.
Sophomore middle hitter Chelsea Hughes (Wading River, N.Y./Shoreham-Wading River) led Philadelphia with 16 kills, while hitting .577, and three total blocks (two solo blocks, two block assists). Senior outside hitter Brittany Olson (Sycamore, Ill./Sycamore) had 10 kills.
Senior setter Heather Martin (Leola, Pa./Conestoga Valley) tallied 26 assists, while sophomore setter Allyson Schillinger (Spring Hill, Fla./Springstead) had 21 assists.
Sophomore outside hitter Allison Manley (Saint Charles, Ill./Saint Charles East) had a team-high 18 digs to go with seven kills.
Bloomfield (5-24, 5-14 CACC) got a team-high 12 kills from Juliette Monroy. Jacquelyn Madlock added 34 assists and 11 digs.
Philadelphia will open the CACC Tournament against Dominican (N.Y.) in the first round on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. in the Gallagher Center.
