Philadelphia started to turn things around toward the end of set three. With the set tied at 16, middle hitter Terra Ecker (Chapel Hill, N.C./East Chapel Hill) recorded a kill to start a string of five straight Ram points to put them in front 21-16. Holy Family closed the margin to 23-22, but consecutive kills from Hughes and setter Claudia Papola (Temple, Pa./Muhlenburg) ended the set and got Philadelphia on the board.

The story of set four was a 10-0 Philadelphia run that had the Rams turn a six-point deficit into a 17-13 lead they would not relinquish. Ecker had four service aces and Holy Family committed four errors. The cushion grew to 24-15 after Hughes' seventh kill of the set.

Philadelphia used an 8-0 outburst to take a 14-8 advantage. Ecker led the charge with three of her seven kills.
