Box Score PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia University women's volleyball team continued its run of strong play, picking up its 11th win in a row as the Rams knocked off defending Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Chestnut Hill 3-1 (25-19, 25-16, 25-20, 25-14) Friday night in Sorgenti Arena.
Courtney Wensel (Bechtelsville, Pa. Berks Catholic) posted a match-best 15 kills to go along with 16 digs for the Rams. Freshman Amber Johnson (Hanover, Pa./Delone Catholic) added 14 kills and four digs while Lauren Laucella (Horsham, Pa./Hatboro-Horsham) recorded eight kills and four service aces.
The Rams improve to 23-4, 15-1 CACC while Chestnut Hill is 11-14, 9-7 CACC.
Alexandra Harrington (St. Leonard, Md./ Huntingtown) posted 45 assists and nine digs.
Madison McBride paced Chestnut Hill with 10 kills and 16 digs to lead the Griffins.
Philadelphia returns to the Gallagher Center for a CACC match against Goldey-Beacom Tuesday, Nov. 8 at 6 p.m.
