PHILADELPHIA - Laural Erick netted the winning goal with 2:44 remaining in the first overtime period to give the Thomas Jefferson University women's soccer team (5-3-1, 5-1-0 CACC) a 2-1 victory over visiting Dominican (N.Y.) on Saturday.

GAMEPLAY
The Rams dominated the first half, outshooting the Chargers 9-2. However, just three shots were on target and stopped by the goalkeeper. Dominican surprised Jefferson with the first tally just 24 seconds into the second period. The ball was centered into the box from the left side and a shot found its way into the right corner of the goal.

The Rams had two shots turned away before finally breaking through in the 59
th minute.
Grace Kenville's corner kick was knocked away by the goalkeeper but right to
Ava Albergo, who sent a shot just inside the right post. Both teams had opportunities to take the lead as Jefferson had four more shots saved and Dominican rang a shot off the crossbar and had one knocked away by a defender on the goal line.

The Chargers had the first chances in overtime but Rams' goalkeeper
Jackie Martino made a save and another shot was blocked. With under three minutes to go, Jefferson cleared the ball upfield. The Dominican goalie came out to play the ball with a Rams' attacker and Charger defenders closing in. The ball bounced away from the keeper to Erick, who blasted it into the empty cage from the top of the box for the win.
