PHILADELPHIA – The Thomas Jefferson University women's cross country team made it seven consecutive Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference titles on Sunday with a first-place showing at the CACC Championships at Belmont Plateau.
The Rams totaled 40 points on the 5K course, defeating second-place Felician by 20 points. The Golden Falcons bested Jefferson with their top two runners, taking first and fourth respectively. However, Jefferson's depth proved to be too much with the Rams grabbing fifth, eighth, ninth, 10
th, 13
th, and 15
th respectively. Jefferson had six runners place in the top 15 to earn All-CACC honors, tying the program record.
The Rams' dynasty now includes 12 conference titles in the last 13 years the meet has been held. The CACC Championships was not contested in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
