Men's Soccer One Goal Short Versus Dominican (N.Y.)

PHILADELPHIA - The Thomas Jefferson University men's soccer team (2-5-2, 1-4-1 CACC) closed to within one in the final 10 minutes but could not net the equalizer in a 3-2 setback against Dominican (N.Y.) at Ravenhill Field on Saturday.

GAMEPLAY
The Chargers opened the scoring in the 21st minute, chipping the ball over a charging goalkeeper after a pass ahead into space. The visitors made it 2-0 just five minutes later after a pass to the middle of the box.

The Rams were able to convert on their fourth shot of the contest to close the gap to one. Geoffrey Little took a throw on the right side in the attacking end. Val Mokrejs got his head on it and the ball continued to Mohamed Jawara, who knocked it into the right side of the cage.

In the second half, Dominican needed just 2:09 to restore a two-goal lead. The Chargers capitalized on a misplay by the Jefferson defense. With under 10 minutes to play, Rob Arnason got the Rams within one, dribbling around the defense and blasting a shot to the keeper's left. Jefferson got off three shots in the final minutes as the Rams looked to even the score but they came up short.
