WILMINGTON, Del. – In Tuesday's regular season finale, the Thomas Jefferson University men's soccer team (6-8-2, 4-6-1 CACC) scored three goals in the second half to defeat Goldey-Beacom, 3-0, and snag the eighth and final spot in the CACC Tournament. It is the Rams' 10
th straight appearance in the conference playoffs.
Jefferson had the opportunity to earn their way into the postseason after Bloomfield's scoreless draw at Nyack earlier in the afternoon. A Bears victory would have eliminated the Rams from playoff contention.
Jefferson is the eighth seed and will travel to the tourney's top seed for a quarterfinal game on Monday, November 8 at 2 p.m. The Rams' opponent will be either Wilmington (Del.) or Post depending on the outcome of the conference's final regular season contests on Thursday.
