Men's Basketball Posts Wire-To-Wire Win At Goldey-Beacom

WILMINGTON, Del. - The Thomas Jefferson University men's basketball team (6-2, 2-0 CACC) never trailed in a 72-54 conference victory at Goldey-Beacom on Tuesday night.
 
GAMEPLAY
The Rams opened the contest with seven straight points from three different players. Jefferson led by at least four as the teams traded buckets until it was a six-point margin (20-14) with 6:41 on the clock. The Rams then pulled away with a 15-2 run that ended at the 1:29 mark. Erik Timko led the rally with nine points. Jefferson led by 16 (39-23) at halftime.
 
In the second half, the Rams did not let the Lightning back into the game as GBC never cut the deficit to single digits. Jefferson matched its largest lead of 19 during the period and outscored the Lightning 33-31 to finish off the victory.
