Eckert Hits Goal Milestone, Women's Lacrosse Routs Felician

LYNDHURST, N.J. – Erin Eckert recorded her 100th career goal and the Thomas Jefferson University women's lacrosse team cruised to a 21-1 victory at conference opponent Felician on Saturday afternoon. The Rams are 9-1 with a 6-0 CACC record.
 
GAMEPLAY
It took just 40 seconds for Jefferson to find the back of the net, with Camryn Sullivan scoring her ninth of the season. It started a 12-0 run for the Rams in the first half. They totaled 28 shots, 16 ground balls, and 11 draw controls in the period, leading in all three categories. Defensively, Jefferson conceded just one shot. Eckert needed three tallies entering the contest to reach the century mark for her career, and netted goals at 24:20, 19:11, and 14:34.
 
The Rams' goal streak continued in the second stanza as they pushed the advantage to 19-0. The Golden Falcons ended the shutout bid with a goal at the 10:50 mark. Jefferson recorded two more markers in the final 10 minutes. Overall, the Rams won the count in shots (44-3), ground balls (25-10), draw controls (20-4), and free-position shots (7-1).

The Rams have clinched at least a top-four seed in the CACC Tournament, which means Jefferson will host at least one playoff game. The Rams currently sit in the top spot in the standings and can lock up the number one seed with a win on Wednesday at Georgian Court.
