WILMINGTON, Del. – The Thomas Jefferson University volleyball team (13-6, 8-2 CACC) cruised to a 3-0 victory at Goldey-Beacom (0-21, 0-10 CACC) on Thursday night.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
The teams were even at five in the opening set before the Rams caught fire, going on a 10-0 run to take a 15-5 lead. The score was 16-8 then Jefferson scored nine of the next 10 to close out a 25-9 win. In the second, the Rams got out to a 5-1 advantage. They were ahead by five (12-7) before pulling away with a 9-1 surge en route to a 25-12 victory.
 
Jefferson was ahead 7-4 in the third but the Lightning tallied five of the next six to jump in front by one (9-8). The Rams answered with a 6-1 stretch to take the lead for good. Jefferson had the last seven points of the night as the Rams finished off the sweep with a 25-13 triumph.
