Offensive Battle Ends In Draw For Men's Soccer Versus Alliance, Rams Still Clinch Playoff Spot

PHILADELPHIA – TJ Hibsman scored the tying goal in the 79th minute to give the Thomas Jefferson University men's soccer team (6-4-4, 5-0-4 CACC) a 3-3 draw versus Alliance (3-7-4, 3-3-3 CACC) on Saturday and secure a CACC postseason berth.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Rams opened the scoring just seven minutes in when Diego Guzman set up Theophilus Ijeboi in the box for his fifth goal of the year. Alliance had an opportunity to even the score in the 14th minute but rang a shot off of the left post. However, the visitors converted off of a corner kick just four minutes later to bring the score level.

Alliance found the back of the net again just two minutes following its first tally, this time off of a free kick, to go ahead 2-1. Guzman evened it up at two for Jefferson in the 38th minute, dribbling past the defense into a one-on-one with the goalkeeper and depositing a shot into the cage.

In the second half, Alliance benefitted from a lucky bounce out of a scramble in the box, with the ball finding an open player and an easy goal giving the visitors a 3-2 advantage in the 65th minute. Less than a minute later, Alliance had a chance to go up two but a shot glanced off of the crossbar. It left the door open for the Rams, and a throw by Luke Wojciechowski found its way across to the other side of the box where Hibsman put it into the net to tie the score with 11:18 remaining.
