Women's Soccer Earns Third Straight Trip To NCAA Tournament, Rams Headed To Saint Rose

INDIANAPOLIS - The Thomas Jefferson University women's soccer team is the eighth seed in the East Region as the bracket for the NCAA Division II Tournament was released on Monday night.
 
The Rams will head to the top seed Saint Rose to take on the host Golden Knights in a first-round game on Friday, November 11th at 1 p.m. In the other first-round match at Saint Rose, fourth-seeded Mercy faces the fifth seed, Adelphi. The two first-round winners will square off in the second round on Sunday, November 13th at 2 p.m.
 
The Rams (11-6-1) are making a third straight appearance in the national tournament, the longest streak in program history. It is Jefferson's fifth trip overall. In addition, the Rams received an at-large bid for the first time as their previous four trips all came as an automatic qualifier.
 
Saint Rose (17-0-3) won its third consecutive Northeast-10 Conference title, and 10th overall, with a 4-0 victory over Adelphi. It is the Golden Knights' 17th appearance in the NCAA Tournament. They won the national championship in 2011 and were the runner-up in 2021. Saint Rose is currently ranked sixth in the United Soccer Coaches Poll.
 
Mercy (13-2-2) won the East Coast Conference title via penalty kicks after a scoreless tie against Molloy. It was the Mavericks' third conference championship and first since 2017. It is Mercy's fifth NCAA Tournament appearance in a row and the seventh total in program history. The Mavericks are currently ranked 21st in the United Soccer Coaches Poll.
 
Adelphi (12-5-2) received an at-large bid out of the Northeast-10 Conference after falling to Saint Rose in the NE10 Championship. The Panthers return to the national tournament for the first time since 2017 and it is their 16th appearance in school history.
