HERB MAGEE'S POSTGAME PRESS CONFERENCE
PHILADELPHIA – The Thomas Jefferson University men's basketball team (19-5, 15-2 CACC) won its fourth straight contest with an 82-56 rout of USciences at a packed Gallagher Center in Coach
Herb Magee's final regular season home game on Wednesday evening.
GAMEPLAY
The Devils notched the first basket of the game but the Rams followed with 12 of the next 14 to take a 12-4 lead.
Darius Kinnel led the way with eight points and
Ahmed Barba-Bey added four. Kinnel drilled a three at the 13:27 mark to put Jefferson up 10 (19-9). USciences came back with seven in a row to get within three (19-16) with 11:23 remaining. It was a four-point difference (23-19) with 10:11 left when the Rams created some distance with a 12-1 run to make it 35-20 with 6:16 to play. Four different players contributed to the surge. The Devils only got within nine for the rest of the period and Jefferson led 45-31 at the break.
In the second half, Jefferson held a 58-42 advantage with 10:48 to go. The Rams pulled away with a 10-0 run to up the margin to 26 (68-42). Barba-Bey tallied five points,
Bismark Nsiah added four, and Kinnel had one. USciences came no closer than 19 the rest of the way and Jefferson led by as many as 28.

CACC PLAYOFF PICTURE
The Rams now know their opponent for the quarterfinals of the CACC Tournament after Wednesday's results. Jefferson, the South Division's top seed, will host Nyack, the North Division's fourth seed, at the Gallagher Center on Tuesday, March 1 at 6 p.m.
