LAKEWOOD, N.J. – The Thomas Jefferson University softball team (6-14, 5-5 CACC) suffered a pair of losses at first-place Georgian Court on Friday in conference action.
GAME ONE – L, 8-0 (5 inn.)
The Lions got on the board in the opening frame with an RBI single. They upped the lead to 5-0 in the third with a pair of two-run homers. In the fourth, GCU doubled in a run and added another two-run shot to make it 8-0. The Lions limited the Rams to just two hits and held Jefferson off of the scoreboard in ending the game early due to the eight-run rule.

GAME TWO – L, 7-4
Sam Gomez put the Rams on top with a solo home run in the first inning. Georgian Court blasted a two-run shot in the second to go ahead 2-1.
Kayla Warren evened the score for Jefferson in the fourth, depositing a pitch over the fence in left center. However, the Lions came back with two in the bottom half to reclaim the advantage, one on a homer and another via an error.
Ellie Egher got the Rams within one (4-3) with a two-out RBI double in the fifth. GCU tacked on some insurance in the sixth with a solo home run and a two-run bomb to make it 7-3. Egher drove in another run with a double in the seventh to cut the deficit to three (7-4) but Jefferson could not get any more runs across.
