WATERBURY, Conn. – The Thomas Jefferson University softball team (6-16, 5-7 CACC) fell in both games of a CACC doubleheader at Post on Saturday.
 
GAME ONE – L, 10-1 (5 inn.)
The Rams took the lead in the opening frame on Ellie Egher's sacrifice fly. The Eagles took over with three runs in the third. Post scored on an error, hit an RBI single, and recorded a sacrifice fly.
 
The Eagles exploded for seven runs in the fourth to take a commanding 10-1 advantage. Post was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, hit an RBI single, then smashed back-to-back home runs, one of them a grand slam. The Eagles then retired Jefferson in the fifth to end the game due to the eight-run rule. The Rams amassed 10 hits but left 10 on base.

GAME TWO – L, 4-0
Post opened the scoring with a two-out RBI single in the first. The Eagles added a pair of sacrifice flies in the third to make it 3-0. The final tally came on a home run in the fifth. Jefferson's best scoring opportunity came with runners on first and second and one out in the third, but a double play ended the chance.
