Simonetti Inducted into CACC Hall of Fame 

PHILADELPHIA, PA. - Thomas Jefferson University alumni Sarah Simonetti was inducted into the CACC Hall of Fame this afternoon during the CACC Championships.

Simonetti was recognized by the CACC as she was one of five nominees announced for the CACC Hall of Fame Class of 2023. Simonetti was a decorated cross country runner for Philadelphia University/Thomas Jefferson. She was a two-time CACC individual champion and Runner of the Year in 2010 and 2011 as well as Rookie of the Year in 2008. Simonetti competed in the NCAA National Championship race twice. She still holds the record at Belmont Plateau in the CACC Championships with an 18:43.21 time at the race. Simonetti was also named to the All-CACC Honors, PhillySIDA Academic All-Area Team, and USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.

Simonetti was honored after the CACC Championships were concluded, receiving her plaque by CACC Commissioner Dan Mara with Athletic Director Tom Shirley and cross country head coach Dave Thomas in attendance.
