Women's Soccer Takes Third Spot in East Region; Heads to Fourth Straight NCAA Tournament As They Rematch Molloy 

INDIANAPOLIS – Thomas Jefferson University women's soccer team earns the third seed in the East Region as the bracket for the NCAA Division II Tournament was released on Monday night.

The Rams will head to Garden City, N.Y. to compete in the first round as Jefferson will get a rematch in the first round as they face sixth seed Molloy University on Friday, November 17 at 10 a.m. The other first round match, the host team and second seeded Adelphi University will face CACC Champion University of Bridgeport on Friday, November 17 at 1 p.m. 

The Rams (13-3-3) continue their historic NCAA Tournament appearance streak as this is the fourth consecutive year the team has made the national tournament. It is the sixth trip overall. This will be their second at-large bid in school history as made it in last season in similar fashion. 

Molloy (11-4-5) comes into the tournament as the sixth seed, earning their trip as East Coast Conference Champions, the third title in four seasons for the Lions, as they won 2-0 Daemen. This is the third appearance in the NCAA Tournament for Molloy. 

Adelphi (12-3-4) comes into the tournament as a second seed at large bid from the Northeast-10 Conference, falling to the champions in the NE10 and No. 1 overall team in the tournament College of Saint Rose 3-1. This is the second straight tournament for the Panthers and 17th overall. Adelphi is ranked 14th in the United Soccer Coaches Poll. 

Bridgeport (10-7-3) head into their second straight tournament and 13th overall appearance after defeating Holy Family 3-1 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament.
