CALDWELL, N.J. – The Thomas Jefferson University baseball team (20-14, 9-4 CACC) dominated both games at Caldwell (9-21, 3-12 CACC) and picked up a pair of conference wins on Sunday.
GAME ONE – W, 12-0
The Rams started their offensive barrage in the first when
Chris McLean brought home
Gabe Silva on a squeeze bunt. In the second,
Justin Espinal doubled in a run and
Alex Gonzalez plated Espinal with a groundout to make it 3-0. Gonzalez then broke it open with a grand slam in the fourth, putting Jefferson up seven. In the fifth,
Diego Santiago recorded a sacrifice fly for another run. The Rams' final four runs came in the sixth, highlighted by
Josh Lopez's two-run shot to left.
While the Jefferson offense was firing on all cylinders,
Sean Morgan was dealing on the mound. The lefty took a no-hitter into the fourth inning and conceded just one hit total over five scoreless innings.
Steve Graziano and
Jack Ricketts each threw an inning and allowed just one total hit to close out the victory.

GAME TWO – W, 7-2
The Rams carried the momentum into the nightcap, scoring the first run in the opening frame on
Chris McLean's RBI double.
Alex Gonzalez smacked a two-out RBI triple in the second and the lead was 2-0. However, the Cougars came back with a pair of runs in the bottom of the second to even the score.
Jefferson put up four runs in the third to reclaim the advantage. McLean singled in a run and
Marquise Wood drove in two with a base hit before scoring on a wild pitch.
Aiden Barbour shut down the Caldwell offense after that, throwing the last five innings in relief and not allowing a hit. The Cougars had just two hitters reach via a walk and an error. Barbour struck out seven and earned the win.
