INDIANAPOLIS – The Thomas Jefferson University women's rowing team will compete in the NCAA Division II Championships for the second straight year as the selections were revealed on Tuesday evening. The national championships are scheduled for May 26-27 at Cooper River Park in Cherry Hill, N.J.

Jefferson will row against Cal Poly Humboldt, Central Oklahoma, Embry-Riddle, Seattle Pacific, and Western Washington for the national title. All squads will compete with their Varsity Four and Varsity Eight.

The Rams are making consecutive appearances at the NCAA Championships for the first time since 2010. They are coming off a fourth-place finish in 2022. The selection marks the Rams' fifth trip overall as a team (2022, 2019, 2010, 2009). Jefferson's highest placement was third in 2010. The Rams also competed exclusively in the Varsity Eight event as an at-large selection in 2015 and 2008.

Each event will have two heats of three boats with the winner of each heat advancing to the Grand Final. The other four boats will be relegated to the repechage with another chance to make the final race.

Both of Jefferson's varsity boats claimed silver at last weekend's Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta, marking the first time that the Rams had multiple boats medal at the event.
