Women's Rowing Heads to NCAA Championships for Fourth Time in Five Years

INDIANAPOLIS, IN. - The Thomas Jefferson University women's rowing team will compete in the NCAA Division II Championships for the fourth time in five years as the selections were revealed on Tuesday evening. The national championships are scheduled for May 29-30 at Lake Lanier Olympic Park in Gainesville, Georgia.

Jefferson will row against Cal Poly Humboldt, Rollins, Embry-Riddle, Seattle Pacific, and Western Washington for the national title. All squads will compete with their Varsity Four and Varsity Eight.

The Rams are coming into the NCAA Championships for the seventh time overall as a team (2025, 2023, 2022, 2019, 2010, 2009). Jefferson's highest placement was third in 2010. The Rams also competed exclusively in the Varsity Eight event as an at-large selection in 2015 and 2008.

Each event will have two heats of three boats with the winner of each heat advancing to the Grand Final. The other four boats will be relegated to the repechage with another chance to make the final race.

Jefferson took gold in the Varsity Eight in the Grand Final Henry Backe Trophy at the Dad Vail Regatta.
