Women's Rowing Claims Gold in Varsity Eight; Finish Regular Season at Dad Vail Regatta
CHERRY HILL, N.J. – Thomas Jefferson University women's rowing had their final race in the regular season as they hosted the Dad Vail Regatta on Friday and Saturday. The Rams were able to claim a gold medal, the first for the team in program at the Dad Vail and second gold this season.
WHAT HAPPENED
- The Varsity Eight competed in the Grand Final Herny Backe Trophy, where the Rams took the gold with a 7:00.770 time, going ahead of second place Rollins, who is ranked fifth in the nation and won the Sunshine State Conference (SSC) back in April, by nearly 15 seconds
- Jefferson went in the Dii & DIII Varsity Four Grand Final, finishing sixth in the race
- The Rams also raced in the Frosh/Novice 4+ and DII/DIII Varsity 4+ Final 2, where both teams placed first in the races
