Volleyball Stays Perfect in CACC Play as They Sweep Goldey-Beacom
WILMINGTON, DE. - Thomas Jefferson University volleyball team (7-7, 4-0) takes their fourth Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) victory as they went on the road and swept Goldey-Beacom College 3-0 in Wednesday night action.
WHAT HAPPENED
The Rams got out in the lead early as they went up 6-2. Jefferson would continue their assault, going up 16-9. They would score the last five points and take the first set 25-12. The Lightning would take the first two points in the second set, but Jefferson would go up 5-3. Goldey-Beacom would get within one point, but four straight points gives the Rams 10-5. Jefferson kept their attack going once again, pushing ahead 17-8. The Rams would then score the three last points to win the second set 25-14.
Jefferson looked to conclude the third set as they went up 5-1. The Rams would keep their lead going as they had a 13-8 lead, eventually finishing with a 12-5 run and take the third set 25-13 and earn the sweep over the Lightning.
