PHILADELPHIA – Thomas Jefferson University softball head coach
Bob Baginski has announced a partnership Youth Softball Clinic on October 5th at Softball Field.
The clinic will be working together with the Rams as well as Sow Good Now and KB Foundation. Alongside the clinic, the young players will get some mental health and nutrition information from Sow Good Now. They will also watch the Jefferson Intra-Squad Match.
Sow Good Now is a youth sports philanthropy nonprofit that creates space for student athletes to uplift youth in communities through the sports they love and the causes they care about. SGNs innovative GiveBack model pairs high performing student athletes with youth from underserved areas to build community, teach philanthropy, and inspire impact. Sow Good Now engages over 1800 youth annually and CEO, Mary Fischer-Nassib stresses that she believes "the person who holds the key to the gym is as important as the person who donates to build it. Philanthropy that includes community members and lifts their voices is empowering and impactful." This is the fifth year that Sow Good Now has partnered with the Jefferson Softball team, and it is led by philanthropic athlete Emily Williams '20 who started the GiveBack to create positive change around mental health issues.
