Women's Volleyball Drops Match to Adelphi University  

GARDEN CITY, NY - Thomas Jefferson University women's volleyball (11-16, 6-6) traveled for Northeast 10 Conference (NE10) action against Adelphi University (18-8, 5-2). The Rams lost to the Panthers in three sets, getting an out of conference loss.  

WHAT HAPPENED 

• The Rams and the Panthers were neck and neck for the first half of set 1 

• Liz Tanis, Morgan Martin, Emily Mckenna and Pemi Areola all put up kills going point for point until Caroline Bond gets an ace leading 10-8 

• The Panthers quickly turn it around with a kill from Macarty McQueen before they take off on an 8-point run 

• The Rams could not come back in set 1, and the Panthers took the set 25-14  

• After a similar start to the second set, the Rams and the Panthers find themselves tied at 13-13 

• The Panthers went on a 7-point run putting them in the lead at 21-14 

• Bond claims another kill bringing the Rams to 16 overall, before the Panthers again take the second set  

• A huge kill from Jaysa Even sets the tone for a much more competitive match in the third set 

• After going point for point for the first half of the set, the Panthers have two errors and Mckenna with a service ace putting the Rams in the lead 17-14 

• Areola with another kill towards the end of the set keeps the Rams involved looking to push the match to a fourth set 

• Kills from Delaney Kiendra and Kambel Fiser tie up the set at 18-18  

• The Panthers continue to push winning the third set 25-22, claiming the 3-0 sweep over the Rams
