Women's Soccer Collects Another Victory in Their Homecoming Game Against Bridgeport.  

PHILADELPHIA – Thomas Jefferson University women's soccer (7-0, 4-0) competed in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action on Saturday when they hosted Bridgeport University (2-3-2) (1-2) for their homecoming game. The Rams claimed their seventh victory, defeating the Knights 2-1.  

WHAT HAPPENED  
 

• The Rams started off strong in the first half with aggressive offense from Nikki Dedes and Dillan Sorino.  

• At the 28:27 mark Kiery Spatz earned Jeffersons first point of the game with a top right corner goal, assisted by Sorino.  

• The Rams defense held strong against the Knights, only allowing four shots in the first half. The Rams ended on top with a 1-0 lead.  

• The Knights powered into the second half and collected their first goal at the 60:08 mark to tie up the game. The goal was scored by Angelina LoFranco from a penalty kick, and is also the first goal the rams let up this 2024 season.  

• Six minutes later the Rams returned with another goal by Sorino, assisted by Abby Cargile to take the lead.  

• The teams battled for the remainder of the second half, but Jefferson held its lead and claimed the 2-1 victory over Bridgeport.
