Women's Tennis Completes Perfect Conference Record with Win over Chestnut Hill
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Thomas Jefferson University women's tennis (12-0, 10-0) had their final regular season contest on Wednesday as they took on cross town rival Chestnut Hill College (5-6, 4-5) in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action. The Rams completed their perfect conference season as they won 6-1over the Griffins.
WHAT HAPPENED
- Jefferson earned the doubles point as they secured a default victory in the third spot while Madina Omarova and Marely Alvarado secured the second position win 6-1. The Griffins took the first doubles match 6-2
- Securing another default point in the sixth spot, the Rams took the first position win by Anouk Oderkerk in two sets. Chestnut Hill won the fourth spot by retirement to get within one point, but Rose Huang, Madina Omarova, and Marta Vázquez all won their matches to give Jefferson the 6-1 win and the perfect conference record

UP NEXT
Jefferson will now prepare for the CACC Championship Tournament as the number one seed. The Rams will play at Delcaste Tennis Courts in Wilmington, Delaware this weekend. They play the Semifinals match on Saturday, October 18 at 10 a.m. against the No.4 seed, which will either be Chestnut Hill or Goldey-Beacom College.
