No.10 Women's Soccer Put in Fourth in Latest NCAA Regional Rankings
INDINAPOLIS, IN. – No.10 nationally-ranked Thomas Jefferson University women's soccer has received the fourth spot in the most recent NCAA East Regional rankings, released on Wednesday afternoon by the national office.
Jefferson is currently fourth in the rankings with a 14-1-1 record, being the only team in the East Region with one loss. Mercy University sits atop of the East Regional poll, followed by Saint Anselm College and Saint Michael's College in the second and third position respectively. Following the Rams is last year's East Region champions Franklin Pierce University in the fifth spot. Adelphi University (sixth), Molloy University (seventh), and fellow Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) school Wilmington University of Delaware (eighth) round out the final spots in the poll.
The top-6 teams make the regional tournament with the first two seeds earning a bye. Jefferson was ranked fourth in last year's tournament. The Rams are currently ranked 10th in the nation in the United Soccer Coaches poll.
Jefferson will compete in the CACC Quarterfinals at Ravenhill Field on Saturday, November 1 at 1 p.m. when they host Felician University.
