Millersville Pulls Away Against Jefferson Women's Basketball
MILLERSVILLE, PA – Thomas Jefferson University women's basketball (6-4) got within two points at the 7:55 mark in the third quarter, but the Marauders got in a groove that the Rams could not keep up with as Jefferson dropped their non-conference road contest to Millersville University (4-4) 85-60 in Friday afternoon competition.
WHAT HAPPENED

The Rams bounced back early in the second, scoring the first nine points off two Emily Spratt jumpers while Caleigh Sperling hit a three pointer and her own jumpshot for Jefferson to go up 23-20. The teams traded the lead as the Marauders scored two straight baskets while Ana Pellecchia hit a jump shot to give the Ram the lead once more

Millersville retook the lead, which they would hold onto for the rest of the game, and go in the break up 36-30. Kaci Mikulski hit her shot while Jade Marquez and Carlie Lapinski made at least a free throw

Jefferson cut the lead down to two in the third quarter, but the Marauders would go on a run that had them up 54-41 with less than two minutes to go. Gabby Recinto, Spratt, and Pellecchia all made a basket before the end of the third to cut the deficit down to seven points
