Thomas Jefferson University Names Michelle Jacquette as Head Women's Soccer Coach

Philadelphia, PA (March 17, 2025) – Thomas Jefferson University has named Michelle Jacquette as the new head coach of the women's soccer team, Assistant Vice President for Athletics Corey Goff said.

Jacquette joins Jefferson from Temple University where, as an Assistant Coach, she oversaw player development, training, travel coordination, and scholarships. Previously, as Associate Head Coach at Swarthmore College, she helped lead the team to a conference championship and multiple NCAA playoff appearances. Her career also includes a tenure as Head Coach at Penn State Brandywine, where she earned Conference Coach of the Year honors, along with various coaching roles at the collegiate and club levels.

"Michelle's extensive regional experience, knowledge, and passion for the game, along with her commitment to student-athlete development, make her an outstanding fit for Jefferson," says Goff. "Her strong reputation and consistent, positive references affirm our confidence in her leadership."

The Rams are coming off their best season in program history, finishing the season as CACC Champions and ranked 11th by the United Soccer Coaches. The team has qualified for the NCAA championship tournament in each of the past six seasons. Additionally, the 2024 team had two players named to the Academic All-America team, and 17 players earned conference All-Academic team honors.

Jacquette says she is "incredibly honored" to take over as the Rams women's head soccer coach.

"I look forward to working with the talented student-athletes and staff to continue to grow a program that excels both on and off the field," she says. "I am eager to get started and continue spreading the word about the greatness of this team and this school and in turn bringing big wins to Jefferson.
