Jefferson Baseball Falls to West Chester in Close Contest
WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Thomas Jefferson University baseball team (13-7) dropped the game against West Chester (18-5) on Tuesday afternoon, falling 4-2 in non-conference action.
GAME SUMMARY
- West Chester capitalized early, plating three runs in the first inning.
- Jefferson responded in the third inning when Kyle Kozlowski delivered a two-run home run down the right field line, scoring Thomas Matuszews and cutting the deficit to 3-2.
- An error by Jefferson put Wester Chester in scoring position and that run proved to be enough as Jefferson was held scoreless for the remainder of the game
- Danny Kerr takes the loss after pitching six innings with two strikeouts. Kevin Baez cleaned up the final two innings for the Rams
