No.49 Men's Tennis Unable to Defeat Second Straight ECC Opponent
PHILADELPHIA – #49 nationally-ranked Thomas Jefferson University men's tennis (7-7) took on their second straight East Coast Conference opponent as the Rams fell 6-1 to St. Thomas Aquinas College (12-5) on Wednesday afternoon competition.
WHAT HAPPENED
- The Spartans took the first points on the day as they won two of the three doubles matches. Jefferson evened it out in the second spot from Anthony Moukarzel and Enrique Soto Ballester winning 6-3, but St. Thomas Aquinas won the third spot to go into the singles competition ahead.
- The Rams fell in the second, first, and sixth spots as St. Thomas Aquinas took the victory early on. Jules Thibault took his match to three sets to earn Jefferson their lone point on the day before the Spartans won the final two contests
