Perrin Named Coach of the Year; Five Rams Garner PSAC All-Conference Honors
 
LOCK HAVEN, PA – Thomas Jefferson University men's tennis finishes out their first year in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) garnering five All-Conference athletes as well as head coach Fred Perrin being named PSAC Coach of the Year, announced by the conference office this afternoon. Nicholas Trebuchet, Matt Cizmarik, and Filip Slavkovic earn First Team honors while Trebuchet secures Second Team recognition alongside Jules Thibault and Johary Rabetrano.
 
NICHOLAS TREBUCHET – FIRST TEAM SINGLES
Trebuchet earns his first PSAC All-Conference honors after going 13-9 on the season. He was 12-8 in dual contests, with every contest being in the first position while being 3-2 in singles conference play. Trebuchet has taken on three players that were ranked nationally in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings this year. He is currently 6-1 with two matches unfinished in his last nine single matches played. Trebuchet was named PSAC Athlete of the Week once this year.
 
FILIP SLAVKOVIC AND MATT CIZMARIK – FIRST TEAM DOUBLES
Both athletes get their first All-Conference honors, making the doubles spot for Jefferson. Slavkovic is 11-10 on the year in doubles action, being 9-8 in the first position while going 2-1 in the second spot. Cizmarik is 9-11 on the year, being 8-8 in the first position. Both of them together have gone 9-8 on the year in doubles play. Slavkovic has won seven straight doubles matches while Cizmarik has taken five in a row.
 
JULES THIBAULT – SECOND TEAM SINGLES
Thibault is recognized with his second All-Conference honors after making First Team in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) back in 2023-24. He is 18-5 on the year, garnering an 18-4 record in dual matches. Thibault is undefeated in conference play, going 5-0. The senior is 15-3 in the third position, having won 14 straight matches in a row. Thibault also hit the career milestone of 100 wins this season, becoming one of eight Rams in the men's tennis program to do so. He also garnered two PSAC Athlete of the Week awards this year.
 
JOHARY RABETRANO – SECOND TEAM SINGLES
Rabetrano is 12-10 on the year with a 10-9 record in dual matches. The senior holds a 9-6 record in the second position. The Paris, France native won five straight matches this year en route to helping the Rams win the conference title and make the NCAA Tournament.
 
NICHOLAS TREBUCHET AND JOHARY RABETRANO – SECOND TEAM DOUBLES
Trebuchet was 14-8 on the year in doubles while Rabetrano garnered a 12-6 record. Trebuchet went 4-1 in the first position, 8-6 in the second spot, and 2-1 in the third position while Rabetrano went 3-0 at first, 7-5 in second, and 2-1 in third. Both of them were 11-6 together between all three spots, with most of their wins coming in the second position. They were 3-1 in conference play and 5-1 in their last seven matches with one going unfinished.
 
FRED PERRIN – PSAC COACH OF THE YEAR
Perrin won his first PSAC Coach of the Year honors, his second conference Coach of the Year award (named CACC Coach of the Year in 2023-24) for men's tennis and third overall (won CACC Women's Coach of the Year this past fall). Perrin has led his squad to an 18-6 record with 16 consecutive victories in a row. The Rams went 6-0 in conference play and won the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Tournament to earn an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. The Rams went to win both contests and has Jefferson heading to Surprise, Arizona to compete in the NCAA Championships next week.
