NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Thomas Jefferson University softball freshman Delaney Alix earned the honors from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) as the CACC Rookie of the Year, announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon. She was named to the CACC All-Conference First Team as well, being the first Ram to make First Team since 2021.
 
Alix holds a 1.45 ERA on the year with a .89 WHIP as she has went 8-9 on the year, currently being a perfect 5-0 in her last five appearances. The Temecula, California native has made 19 starts in 21 appearances with 11 complete games. Alix has allowed 91 hits, 48 runs with 25 being earned, and 21 walks while striking out 130 batters this year. She has shown her improvement on the mound as 60 of those strikeouts has come in the month of April. Alix earned a perfect game against Bloomfield, the first for Jefferson since 2010 and the first seven-inning perfect game for the program. Her pitching helped the Rams secure a 3-1 win over Caldwell, sending them to the Double Elimination Portion of the CACC Championships for the first time since 2019. Alix is a 1x CACC Pitcher of the Week and 2x CACC Honor Roll recipient.
