WILMINGTON, Del. - No.18 Thomas Jefferson University baseball (38-15) looked to get back on track to get the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament title for the first time in school history, but they had to go against Felician University (38-17) first. With multiple errors and runs scored against them early on, the Rams dropped their second game in the tournament to the Golden Falcons 10-9 on Saturday afternoon action. 

WHAT HAPPENED 

  • Two scoreless innings was broken in the third as Felician scored on a wild pitch and a single to shortstop for an early 2-0 lead. The Golden Falcons added three more in the fourth on a throwing by third base 

  • Felician got a one-run single in the fifth while Gabe Silva had his own in the sixth to have it at 6-6. The Golden Falcons used a single down the right line in the seventh to retake the lead while two more in the eighth made it 10-6 

  • Matuszewski brought two runners home in the eighth on a single to the left side. An error in the ninth brought it to a one score game, but the Golden Falcons held on to defeat the top-seeded Rams 10-9 

  • Albert Bobadilla pitched four innings, allowing four hits and five runs, two earned, while striking out five batters. Orion Frailey takes the loss as he gave up four hits and two runs, only one earned, with a single strikeout.
